Who we are: The American Ballooning Community (“ABC”, “we”, “us”) operates this mobile application for balloon flight spectators. Our website is abcballoon.org.
What we collect:

The Spectator app does not collect your name, location, or any personal information. It does not require an account or login. It connects anonymously to the ABC server solely to receive and display the real-time positions of active balloon flights.
How your data is used: No personal data is collected or transmitted. Your device receives balloon position data from the ABC server for display on the map. This data flows one way — from the server to your device — and nothing about you is sent to the server beyond an anonymous session identifier used to maintain the connection.
Who we share it with: Nothing. No data about you is collected, and therefore nothing is shared.
Data retention: App settings (map style, trail preferences) are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our server. No data about you is retained on the ABC server.
Your rights: Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to request deletion of. If you have questions, contact us at webmaster@abcballoon.org.
Children: This app does not collect any data and is safe for use by all ages.
Changes: We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The current privacy policy is always available at this web page.
